with my niece and nephew and it was still funny. They laughed too and really liked Tweety Bird. The most hilarious part was how violent and racist it is compared to today's cartoons and they didn't even notice because they are young children enjoying themselves. Today you couldn't have all of the fighting and smoking in cartoons that you could back then. There was even one episode where a black guy was picking cotton and Bugs Bunny was traveling on a river boat. A lot of people would probably have to run to their safe space and protest today, if they saw a cartoon like that.

I'm watching my sister's kids again tonight. She's going all 21st century on them. She told me to not let them watch Tweety tonight. Rated G Nick Jr sucks!

^I'm not, but at some point I am going to introduce them to Speed Gonzales when no one is around. I found an episode online where Speed saves a bunch of drunk Mexican mice from some cats and another one where they are sitting on a suitcase in front of a TV pretending to watch TV since they are poor and don't have one. LMAO!

It's not that they cartoons used to be racist or violent, people have gotten more sensitive (gay).

^True, but they were more violent. I have to watch Nick Jr when the whole family gets together. I have yet to see any character smoke, shoot at someone with a gun, or get blown up with dynamite on Nick Jr.

I'm not sure 8th graders should be allowed to babysit children.

^Well whatever it is, it is still more awesome than the stuff little kids get exposed to these days. I was looking online the other day and it is pretty easy to find videos of classics like Looney Tunes and Tom & Jerry, but that is about it as far as new stuff. There are no more brand new Looney Tunes toys, or anything like that. Now everything is Thomas the Train, Paw Patrol, Dora, and Frozen themed.

Every episode of Looney Tunes/Merry Melodies is objectively better than any of the cartoons on today - no debate. But Tom & Jerry is still garbage and always will be.

^^I always liked T&J, but I currently do enjoy Looney Tunes more though. I can't wait to show my niece and nephew some other Looney Tunes episodes someday when my sister isn't around and I'm watching them. I just have to expose them to Speedy episodes since it is stories about drunk Mexican mice living in the ghetto.
