Got a TON of tomatoes coming in. Got a few beans. Lots of hot peppers growing but none to eat yet.

How did you start your beans? I tried 3 times and failed every time.

I started almost everything from seed in tiny starter containers. I soaked the bean seeds overnight. I tried several inside first, and they got "leggy" from not enough light, so I had them outside (and brought them in all those spring nights that got close to freezing, and when it rained).

yeah, put them in a cup of water, swirled them around, and let them sit overnight.

I've got 8 tomatoes planted in a strip of dirt between my house and driveway. I bought a container of seedlings to pot last year and almost threw out two that I didn't have room for but instead planted them in that spot where they outperformed all of the others. Kind of surprising because that part of the yard is 4"-6" of mulch on top of clay, but they love it.

The pots are mostly for cucumbers this year. I've got 4 that I grew from seeds that have completely taken over the railing on the back porch.
