So if two teams both played with ineligible players and the win is vacated, did the game actually happen?

THEY GON TAKE OUR 4 ACC WINS AWAY..... OH NO!

Part of me says to be the better ethical program and to just come right out now and self vacate last season.

But then that would probably just screw us and Carolina laid the blueprint for just fighting tooth and nail on everything.

I doubt that they will put in major institutional penalties given how many programs are impacted here but who the hell knows.

i think what he was referring to was...

Quote :
"Rowan was ranked No. 30 overall by ESPN in a class of 2016 that had 27 five-star prospects. "

(in other words, a very very high 4*) and then he classified and his ranking, obviously, changed. i can't find any rankings from before he reclassified, only his final ranking.

Unless Bradley's dinner with the agent was in excess of $200, he'll be fine. He'll donate the money to charity(the usual punishment) and they'll be fine.

Will be interesting to see what happens to Duke and if they'll bench any questionable guys for the rest of the season.

I'm not sure if I ever posted it here or not but I had heard when we were recruiting Bam and DSJr from a friend who runs a pretty influential State fan site that our boosters had given DSJr $40k and that we had tried to go for Bam as well but UK gave him more than we could since we'd have to offer them equally because they were friends / would know if we didn't. I didn't want to believe that we'd be dirty then, and I don't want to believe it now but it matches up pretty closely to what I had heard. I hope that, at worst, it was Adidas doing shady shit unbeknownst to the university, although I don't put anything past Gott

Let's be real here, no one is getting penalized over a dinner. Cash handouts and "loans" whatever the fuck that means, are going to get the NCAA's attention. So that narrows the list to:

Clemson (Jaron Blossomgame - cash)

Kansas (Josh Jackson - cash)

Kentucky (Bam Adebayo and Kevin Knox - "bad loan" and dinner)

LSU (Tim Quarterman - loans)

Maryland (Diamond Stone - loans)

Michigan State (Miles Bridges and Tom Izzo - cash and dinner)

I'm thinking if it made this list, it's not a McDonalds lunch we're talking about here.

And I don't think this is the end of people implicated, either. This is more or less just what Yahoo got their hands on, from my understanding. It's not the end-all be-all FBI dossier on this stuff.

Question - are we for certain Yow didn't pick up on this stuff amidst Gottfried's mid-season firing? To me, it seems somewhat likely, but I think DSJ would have been immediately suspended/kicked off the team...

If shit is this obvious and idiotic to where we have rumors getting to this site of all places, then maybe we deserve to get hammered hard.

In our heart of hearts, we all know how this is going to end. We will be the poster child of NCAA punishment for this scandal whether the school was directly involved or not. We will get obliterated back to the eternity we never recovered from to begin with and so will go State basketball. 1911-2018 RIP

On one hand, if the school was not involved, I have no confidence the NCAA will be able to rule fairly on the case. On the other hand, I'm scared to death the school was involved, in which case we deserve to be destroyed and I may just stop watching basketball and pick up a hobby like whittling or bird watching or some shit. I'm just a tortured state fan I guess.

From what I've read so far, it doesn't look like the university did anything wrong. And if we have to forfeit last year's wins, no big deal, it's not like we're forfeiting a conference title or anything.
