With cameras becoming so ubiquitous in houses across America, I'm just curious, do any of you parents out there have cameras in bedrooms at home?

If so, at what age do you think they should come down?

I have a camera in the living room to monitor the dogs when I'm gone, and I'm thinking about putting one in my youngest son's bedroom (he's 4).

We have a baby camera in my 1-year-old's room. It's been helpful to see if she lost her blanket or is standing up, or is just talking to herself until she falls back asleep.

We had 'em for my sons, too, but stopped using them when the youngest hit... maybe 2ish?

^^I loathe the fact that I can't walk my dog down the street without possibly being captured on at least 4 ring cameras.

I also don't like the idea of my likeness being sent to Amazon by virtue of just knocking on someone's door.

Only have 1 kid and she’s a little over a year old. So we still use a baby monitor at night but she’s not really doing a lotta independent play in a room by herself. It would be useful for that kinda thing as she gets older, like 2 or 3 years old I guess. I can’t imagine using one beyond 3 y/o but I’m also not judging anybody for using one either.

To detour the thread a bit, what's the best live feed site you know of?

https://andieandmike.org/bubblecam/ is pretty good

I never put cameras in my kids rooms. I have one in the house that covers the entrances in the dining room and kitchen, and aside from that I have a couple for outside, but I am not putting cameras in any of the non-public parts of the house.
