Twist a bit of the handle very tightly by the knot. You can usually push the handle through the knot easily then pull the whole thing open.

Do you have any reason for reusing the bag, other than bagging up your carton trash?

Use your finger tendon strength to rip that bag open just below the knot.

Also, how about the places that put a sticker on the knot, to let you know it hasn't been tampered with. But the sticker makes the knot even more difficult to untie.

The worst knots are by mothers. Cause they do it in an easy to pull and undue way, but unless you are in the know, you may unwittingly make the task more difficult
