| class comments : | This class requires an insane amount of note-taking (at least 1 page front/back per class, and I write small). This might seem bad, but her lectures are very well delivered, so notes seem to flow easily and write themselves. We had to submit "journals" on the books we had to read, we had a term paper on a topic of our choosing, a midterm comprised of essays, and a final a bit longer than the midterm. The lecture notes are your most valuable study tool; I made an A- with just skimming the books |

| instructor comments : | Dr. DeT is an extremely bright and pleasant teacher. Her lectures are always well delivered, and her assignments and grading are always fair. She will happily answer any questions you have and will work with you if you have any problems. I'd recommend her for ANY history class, not just 404. |
