| course comments : | ehh, arguably the worst accounting course NCSU has to offer. good stuff to know, but you hate to learn most of it. |
| class : | Fall 2003 section 001 |
| grade received : | B |
| class rating : | 2 - Average |
| class comments : | Hard, tedious, and boring work, but it has value nonetheless. You really get to see how accounting affects business in many aspects (tax, pensions, bonds, securities, eps calculation (basic & diluted), etc.) |

| instructor comments : | Good all around guy... reminds me of what I'd like to be as a professor. He simply knows everything and is a relaxed, understanding person. He has his funny moments in class and will also give you some insight into how he thinks the profession will change in future years. |

| course : | ACC 311 |
| course rating : | 3 - Good |
| course comments : | Intermediate level accounting class, basically 310 the sequel, covering topics such as Pensions, Benefit plans, Cash flow stmt, Earnings per share, Leases, etc. I thought the material was more interesting than 310 and the class moved slower, but was a little harder overall. |

| class comments : | This class was straight up hard. If you don't do the homework, read the book and go to class, you will fail. Griffin lets you use a notecard on the tests, which helps a lot. The final is intense, as are all the exams, which are given in 3-hour blocks on a weeknight. But because exams are at night, she canceled class for two days for each exam to make up the time to us. |

| instructor comments : | She does an okay job of explaining material. Her notes are sometimes scrambled, but she is really helpful outside of class and answers questions well if you are awake to ask them. Harriette is a really nice lady that wants all her students to do well. Take her if you ever get a chance. |
