| instructor comments : | I'm going to have to disagree with a lot of people on here about Voss. He spoke clearly and provided reasonably interesting examples. He's one of those guys who are friendly and outgoing and you either like him or are annoyed like hell. So if you're one of those people that get annoyed really easy you might want to go elsewhere. I, however, thought he was a good instructor and helped me learn the material in class without having to read the book. |

| class comments : | material isn't hard to understand at all. problem is, you have to remember about a thousand different buzzterms which are all just combinations of about five different words. tests aren't so bad except for the essay questions (choose 3 of 4), the rest is multiple choice. there's five or six tests over the semester though, and at one point we took a test, went over it in the next class, had one lecture class, and then took another test. kind of rediculous, but he does drop your lowest grade. no h |

| class comments : | I don't think this class was easy but it wasn't too difficult as long as you study a couple of hours before each test. The group paper was interesting and less boaring that the group work I have had in other classes. There was no attendance policy but I would encourage going to the class, especially on exam review days. I used the book in this class often and I don't see how you could get an A without using it. The book does not have a cover and is therefore very cheap. |

He was really interesting to listen to and made you participate in class. The exams were tricky I thought and I was so pissed that I made a B in such an easy class. |

It wasn't difficult to understand, but he tested you on some real nit-picky BS that made the course frustrating at test time. Lectures nearly always let out early, and attendence counts a small % of your grade, but not substantial. |

My only gripe is one that isn't mirrored by TOO many others, but his tests are on the tricky side, so beware of that. You don't need to know general concepts, only certain details that he likes to ask. Get him for 360 though :) |
