| course comments : | The class was ok. Not the most interesting thing at 8am. There is not a lot of material, but everything builds on each other. So if you're lost at the first, you're gonna be screwed at the end. |

| instructor comments : | Although Mirmiran really knows his stuff, he's not the best person to present the material for this class. He doesn't tell you what you are solving for when you do examples in class, so things can get confusing quickly. |

| class comments : | the class required about one extensive hw every week, but we got to work in groups.....don't pay for the hard bound textbook....there is a paperback version much cheaper.....you can go as far as you want with this class....it takes practice to master the concepts |

| course comments : | reinforced concrete is pretty cool, and its enlightening being able to analyze something real, and design it as well. can be quite confusing at times, with a variet of topics that don't blend perfectly. a big book of codes that you have to learn to use |

| class comments : | class was pretty hard, i was surprised how well i came out of it. required a lot of time on the homeworks, a few hours on each, and were graded quite toughly. material given to us in online notes, which made it easy to follow lectures, but sometimes examples in the notes were not easy to follow. so many ways to vary a problem that everything always seems new |

| instructor comments : | spoke fairly clearly and kept on task. graded things promptly, but many marks seem too harsh. makes himself available outside of class during office hours, but his office is at the CFL and his secretary never would let us talk with him. calls you out in class so be ready and attentive. always swears the stuff is so easy, and if you get the material it will be. he's in expert in the field, but i'm sure he'd be a lot better teaching grad classes. |
