| course comments : | If you don't like speaking in front of groups, you can probably take this class and fulfill your COM requirement. The class covers theories in interpersonal communication, and you practice by talking with classmates on a one-on-one level. |

| class comments : | If the teacher was any good, this class might have been interesting. For an interpersonal communication class, we sure didn't do much interpersonal communication. The class had to do conversation cards, where you met a new person in the class and a had a short conversation. Tests/quizzes were easy, just read the book. The problem solving paper is bull and the requirements are vague. You do watch some good movies, though, that is when she figured out how to work the projector. |

| instructor comments : | Although I thought she was nice, didn't make up for her slack ways. One of the fisrt assignments we turned in was still not graded by the time we took the final exam. Everyone went into the exam not knowing where we stood in the class b/c she took forever to grade things. We had a paper to write that counted 15% of grade and her directions were very unclear ...so unclear that a class of over 100 students didn't understand what she wanted. We never had class (ran out of room..IM me for more) |

| class comments : | You have to come to class... that was the only hard part. He drops your grade if you miss class. Not too much work, only a one-page paper was assigned, but there is some reading from the textbook required. The tests were pretty straighforward. |

Power point made note taking easy but the tests could often be tricky, where 2 option seemed equally likely. If you're bad with multiple choice questions like that, you might not do so well. |

She was extremely rude when approached and for no reason. It was really strange. So if you take her, don't try to approach her. |

| course comments : | kinda a fun class. This stuff jhust basically helps you to communicate or understand how other people communicate with you. This is stuff you use everyday. Girls prob enjoy this class more then boys but thats just a stereotype. |

| course comments : | Basically the study of how people communicate. This course does come in handy in real life in some aspects, but there's also a lot of pointless information. If you're looking for the easy A, do not take Hemenway because COM department restructured the class to make it less easy and Hemenway enforces it throughly. |

I do not reccomend buying the supplemental book because that stuff was so inconsistent with the slides, but make sure you take notes on those because she does not post em. She took attendence the whole semester and did not skip a beat. It's supposed to be easy.. and it is but Kenny's tests are "70% from the book, 30% from the notes" ...so of course there were a bunch of questions on the test i'd never even heard of. there are a few "easy" quizzes I'd always manage to miss one on, and one easy paper. |

| course comments : | Very interesting material that you'll find useful in your daily interactions with folks and escp. on the job interactions. Not too difficult, mostly memorization and applying concepts to situations on tests. The grade was from 4 tests (including the final), in-class "clicker questions" (easy), and 3 "learning group assignments". I would highly recommend the 1-night-a-week version of this course w/ Croasmun for those taking it! |

| class comments : | I studied to get an "A", but it's definitely do-able in this course. The 1-night-per-week course ROCKS because we only stayed the full time maybe 3 times all semester. Great class discussion; she's very open to opinions and loved to make "jokes" in class. Definitely not a boring course and you really learn useful stuff. |

She is just trying to relive her twenties and stay "in the loop" with modern phrases. It's slightly annoying, but comical as well. Tests were fairly easy and nothing was unexpected on them. She even made the 3rd test a take-home! Definitely take her for the COM 110/112 requirement. |
