course :FLC 101
course rating :3 - Good
course comments :It's Chinese. A foreign language which doesn't use Roman alphabet. Difficult to memorize lots of words at once. Take time in class and outside to study a single word (writing in the air or copying on paper) many times without looking at the character. Not that many words but can get overwhelming if you don't keep up. Does not count as a foreign language credit if already have proficiency.
class :Fall 2005 section 001
grade received :A+
class rating :3 - Good
class comments :Tried to get the class to speak to each other in Chinese, did not work. I just studied in class mostly and participated when I knew something interesting. Most of the class as quiet and did not participate unless required. Pretty boring. Did not let out early. Everyone attended class everytime, a few graduate and upperclassmen.
instructor :Young
instructor rating :2 - Average
instructor comments :Better than my highschool Chinese teacher (Mrs. Feung - Enloe HS) wasn't amazing either.
