course comments :I really like learning chinese :) If you dont have a genuine interest in learning chinese, dont even think about. Do not use chinese JUST to fulfill your foreign language requirement. You'll spend a lot of time learning this to get any decent grade. Chinese characters are very hard to memorize and retain. If you are going to take this class, expect to spend a lot of time. I am taking this class because it is a prequ. for all the classes required in the minor

class comments :Dr. Young is a really nice person and quite interesting. Class started on time and ended on time. The class could be improved by making more use of other means of teaching the material, as in technology.
