| course comments : | It was alright. I hadn't had any biology course since my freshman year of high school so I had some difficulty with the material and synthesizing it well for the tests. It was required for my major, but this class really showed me that I wasn't interested or passionate about biochemistry and I have since become an art and design major. |

| class comments : | The class was alright and Dr. Beckman's a very friendly, kind man, but I just could not, as much as I studied, do as well as I would've liked to have done in his class. I wish he had covered concepts more thoroughly in class. Class always consists of him lecturing. |

| class comments : | Class was moderately difficult. Good amount of studying will attain a good grade. attendance policy. material is presented well. Cancels class a few times due to the whim of the masses around the holidays. Labs require lab reports. No homework. |

| course comments : | I dont particularly like biology but overall beckmann made it interesting and good. again..its like overview of highschool... its mitosis, dna,rna, and taxonomy. |

| class comments : | Class was average difficulty. The book really wasnt needed at all. I never read a page because he covers everything in class. Attendance is taken and runs the whole time. |

| class comments : | Good course to take. Lab work is somewhat difficult, depending on your TA. Homework and quizzes on in lab. Beckmann covers the material well. Buying the book is a waste of time, he will allow 5th edition and give pages out of that book as well as the 6th. Class of 200, all the faces run together. |

| class comments : | Class was challenging but there was a huge curve; the lab absolutely sucks!!! It is 3 hours and you have more work to do for lab than the actual class. Attendance affects your grade, definately buy the book and use the cd that comes with it.... very helpful!!! |

Tests relied heavily on the notes, some on the labs, and little on the book. i wouldn't bother buying the book; see if you could borrow it from someone. attendance was taken everyday and as i recall, there was a bonus for having good attendance. |
