| class comments : | There was a good ratio of guys to girls. The class didn't require TOO much work, but since you're standing up in front of a group, you don't want your speeches to suck. A lot of people dropped the 8AM class, so we often got out really early on speech days. I didn't buy the book- only borrowed one to read before the midterm exam and did fine that way. Since we had a small class and were forced to talk, we became pretty close as a class, which is unique in my experience here. |

| course comments : | I dont like how the class forces you to speak with certain outlines and whatnot. For people just learning it may be good, but if you already have a certain way of speaking, take 112 |

| course comments : | The course is fairly useful, was never very hard. The majority of the material was preparing for speeches outside of class. |

| class comments : | Great class as long as you dont get nervous. I made up all my speaches a couple hours before class and got good grades on them. Make sure you choose a topic that you really enjoy and you'll ace this class. Only time I opened the book was for the midterm and final. |

| class comments : | Class wasn't bad. I didn't have to go b/c I had another COM class at the same time. I had to meet with Dr. Heaton every week though for 30 minutes. What I heard, a lot of guest speakers and sitting around. |
