4 Programs (50% of grade)
5 In-Class Exercises (You receive a 100% if you show up for them -- 10% of grade).

I think after taking this class you will "see" how object oriented programs work. Whereas in 116 things seemed to have been a little more rushed. |

If the TA's have to correct your code (up to 5 lines) you loose 25 points. On the midterm he was anal about words, if you put deploy instead of deployment you lost points. He isn't a bad teacher, he just likes to be stingy with the points. |

It was alright as classes went, but a 200 person lecture is not really anyone's idea of fun. Four program assignments for the course; for me they were 6 Easy Pieces, General Store, Calendar, and Mancala (ugh). |

| course comments : | Where to start. It's basically common sense stuff. 10 pop quizes, a midterm and final, and 4 programs thoughout the semester. Lab was horrible, entirely too long. If you didn't have your programs finished, you had to stay there and work on it. so do the programs and lab material before hand so you don't have to stay. Don't cheat on the programs either. YOU WILL GET CAUGHT!!!! |

| class comments : | Either you get it or you don't. Most of the stuff is so easy once you figure out how to do it. I've banged my head plenty of times on my desk trying to figure out how to do something, then when I figure it out I feel stupid that I wasted so much time on something so easy. |

| class comments : | Class was very short. Schwartz gets straight to the point of every lecture and then you are out. I found the lectures to be very interesting and helpful. Notes are all online so you don't have to write during class. Quizes are given but they are all online to look at and study. Tests are straight forward and easy if you completed the work. |

| instructor comments : | Tried to be entertaining, but got annoying and had a few common places sayings that got you on your toes because they were usually said when he gave one of his 10 pop quizes. The quizes were pretty easy though and he never gave one of the harder ones. Even had a surprise one which was something like "what have we been studying?" answer - arrays
