| course comments : | Challenging course but definitely very useful for the EE/CPE major. |

| class comments : | Homeworks and labs were long and difficult at times, but if you could do those you would be okay on the exams. Labs can be done in partners and you don't have to attend the actual lab session. You can work with anyone else in your class on the labs; you're not limited to your lab section. |

| instructor comments : | At first he comes of as kind of a grump and speaks in monotone at times, but he does lighten up. He really wants everyone to be able to do well and is patient with the students. |

| class comments : | Byrd did a good job communicating the material. The class was hard. His tests were hard, his homework was insanely hard. But damnit, if you did it, you really got something out of it. |

| instructor comments : | Great guy, but you can tell he's a professor who teaches grad level classes and then this one piddly undergrad class that he has to get up for. He's *very* open to students, and is very fast with email questions and invites you to call him. I'd recommend him for any ECE course. |

| class comments : | The labs sucked, class was pretty good. Most of the material was reviewed in depth and made sense. Except for the fact that we're learning an assembly language for a system that doesn't exist. Seems like we could learn something more useful for the real computer industry. |

| course comments : | good introduction into the levels of computer architecture. more interesting for cpe majors than ee, but fairly easy and interesting class. |

| class comments : | lectures were kind of boring. professor answers every question, which is good, except when you have a select five people in the class that decide to read five chapters ahead and ask questions about them and waste time trying to use big words and try to act smarter than everyone else. basically the whole class (minus the five idiots) was in a coma most of the time. |
