| class comments : | No attendance policy, homework was optional, weekly quizes, cummulative exam... makes it really easy to fail. He grades either very nice or very evil depending on the error. |

| instructor comments : | I had him the semester before he turned bad. He was an awesome professor; very helpful and had great lectures. I think there was some political fallout though, at the end of our semester, because since then all I've heard are horror stories. |

| instructor comments : | DON't Take huehn, He is unfair grading people. His grading style is completelly different from the TA's. On your labs, make sure a ta is grading you or you'll get canned! He doesn't teach well at all. Wait to take this class on the summer if you can! |

| class comments : | It was impossible to gauge what my grade would be because Kuehn's grading scales aren't static. By this I mean Homework was 5-10% of the course, quizzes 35-40%, etc. The only solace I got was that everyone in the class did poorly on the quizzes. |

| instructor comments : | Seemed nice enough when I asked him a question about one of his lectures after class, but he's a horrible lecturer. He often goes off on tangents, gives few notes, and generally manages to confuse himself as he teaches. He doesn't teach during the summer, so try and take the course then if you can. |

| course comments : | Good course...It provides students with a technical view of the device physics of different components found in simple circuits. In addition, it places heavy emphasis on amplifiers, and how they affect circuit parameters. Obviously, since you need this course to graduate, you have to take it. I recommend it highly, but it's not a prereq for many classes. Therefore, there isn't much offered after this level in the department as of now. Silly department needs to get its funding straight. |

| class comments : | Dr. K teaches from examples provided by the book. He also, in every example, shows students alternate ways of solving problems along with tips about circuit setups in order for designers to achieve optimal performances. Most students won't agree with my opinions on Dr. K, but he does just as good of a job in teaching difficult aspects of this course as anyone. The only thing missing from the course is the dissection and examination of op-amps. |

| course comments : | I HATE MICROELECTRONICS...the only reason it gets a '1' is because the section on chip fabrication was good...but that was it...the rest of it was meaningless formulas and junk to memorize that i will NEVER use again...NEVER |
