course :HI 233
course rating :3 - Good
course comments :It's the world in the 20th century; the European world system, colonization, WWI, Great Depression, WWII, Cold War, etc. Really interesting stuff because it is actually relevant today unlike some mundane event that happened in 1589 or something...
class :Sum II 2004 section 002
grade received :B
class rating :3 - Good
class comments :There were two tests, a 5-7 page paper, and the final. The two tests were 25 questions of multiple choice and true false. The final was essay format though. It would be helpful for the final to have read and understood many of the readings in order to answer the questions thoroughly, but if you paid good attention all along it shouldn't be bad. The book we read was Jihad vs. McWorld to which he gave a list of points he wanted you to hit in the paper.

instructor comments :Cool guy. Sort of young. Wasn't totally out of touch with everyone. Friendly. The lectures were pretty good. I never really got bored during them which is rare.

class comments :I did bad on the tests for some odd reason but pulled out with an ok grade. Read the book, go to class, take notes. We watched 2 or 3 movies, and on another day we watched portions from a bunch of movies that dealt with the subject matter.
