| instructor comments : | Boles is a excellent teacher, and knows the material real well. Its in your best interest to attend class, and pay attention. Test are graded strictly, however, UNDERSTANDING the material can make a 100 for ya. |

| class comments : | this guy has been teaching this class forever. he is pretty good at it. i remember there being an attendence sign-in, but i'm not sure how much it counted of the final grade. all lectures. the class was about average difficulty. |

| course comments : | a LOT better than thermo 1. This mainly was about energy balances, energy balances, and energy balances. Also, chemistry comes back to haunt you at the end of the class. A lot of material, but keep on your toes and it'll be ok. |

| class comments : | A lot of work required, material presented very well, no summer attendence policy but I believe Boles gives pop quizzes during the regular semesters, class never let out early(why? you don't want to in this class), lectures were awesome, book is definately needed, and again, there are no girls in ME |

| class comments : | HW every week that can be difficult but is VERY helpful in doing well in the class. If you can successfully complete the HW, you can most likely do very well on the tests. |

| instructor comments : | Prob one of the better profs in the department. Made the class about as interesting as it could be. Made attempts to be funny that sometimes succeeded. At times could be anal and get pissed about stuff. I guess thats kinda harsh, but really he is a great professor. I would def recommend him |

| course comments : | I thought most of the material was pretty interesting. some of the more tedious aspects were pretty boring though. |

| class comments : | we had hw every week, which usually took a while to complete. there were 4 tests containing 3-5 questions each. test questions could get tricky if you didn't really understand the material bc he usually combined a few things into one problem. |

| instructor comments : | even though I only made a C in this class, i left feeling like i understood it. Boles made things seem easier and used real world examples which were pretty interesting. the tests are graded very strictly so definately do the hw so you will understand the material. some people thought he was kind of a jerk but i never had a problem with him. just show up for class and he'll like you. oh and TURN YOUR CELL PHONE OFF!! he takes off pts if it rings. i would definately take him for thermo 2 |

| class comments : | Despite getting a C, it's still a good class. He's the guy to take for thermo if you want to learn the material. He wrote the book, his lecture notes are online and very helpful, but his lecture is a tad dry. Regardless, you get out what you put in. Tests are graded fairly strict. |

| instructor comments : | Boles is the man. I'm taking him for Fluids next semester because I know I respond well to good teachers. He's quiet, but he often gives real-world examples and makes things very clear for anyone with questions. He expects a lot of his students, so don't expect a slack teacher, but he's the best engineering teacher I've had yet. |
