course :MDS 325
course rating :3 - Good
course comments :Material is interesting---class covers and debates controversial medical topics such as abortion, euthanasia, premature and impaired infants, etc. Also goes into theories and philosophers (utilitarianism, etc.)
class :Fall 2001 section 002
grade received :S
class rating :3 - Good
class comments :Class is mostly lecutre format, although there are times students presented in class and also a few interesting videos. Book is critical----no homework, but lots of reading for tests. There is a strict attendance policy. Worst part of class is the major group project, which is a research paper---assigned group and topic.

course :MDS 325
course rating :1 - Bad
course comments :Discussed almost no real issues in depth.
class :Spring 2002 section 001
grade received :C
class rating :0 - Horrible
class comments :Only reason I got an F is because I missed more than his 3 allowed absences. I had a B- otherwise, but he included tardies in with absences (if you came in after he called your name, even if he wasn't done with the roll). The book was almost useless. We nearly never referred to it, and had no assignments out of it. Lecture every day, no videos, two guest speakers (he promised more) no overheads, rarely even used the board. No debates, lengthy discussions were discarded in favor of monologue
instructor :Stalnaker
instructor rating :1 - Bad
instructor comments :Spoke very quietly. Ignored special concerns of students. Exams (three in all, including the final) consisted of one essay question with a max of 4 blue book pages. Provided no feedback to several students' e-mails. Liked to bitch about the "way things are today."
