| course : | PS 204 |
| course rating : | 3 - Good |
| course comments : | The course description seemed interesting as it was described in the Catalog. |
| class : | Spring 2001 section 001 |
| grade received : | B- |
| class rating : | 2 - Average |
| class comments : | The class was difficult. There was a strictly enforced attendance policy, and the reading was very philosophical in nature and only loosely related to political science. Pavlik's presentation consisted of just philosophizing on his opinions on the state of the American family, etc. The class did not let out early ever. It was completely lecture in class, discussing the out of class readings. The books required several re-readings. |

| instructor comments : | Pavlik was relatively friendly outside of class, but his teaching was Socratic, resulting in many students being embarrassed if they did not thoroughly grasp each reading. His teaching was based on getting across his own messages about the state of American democracy. His tests were very difficult and all essay-based. Part of the test was defining terms and explaining their significance, and the major portion was elaborating on some concept from the readings. |

| course comments : | Course was interesting, not a whole lot of material (mostly reading), |
| class : | Spring 2003 section 001 |
| grade received : | B- |
| class rating : | 2 - Average |
| class comments : | Didn't seem to focus a whole lot on actual Problems ao American Democracy, but I'm told others taught it differently. Intermittent quizzes and a couple of big tests. Only HW was reading. Never let out early. One book on Economics that no one understood, a book on how to raise kids, and Technopoly, which was the best book I ever read. There were a lot of Frat/PoliSci pricks in there though. |

| instructor comments : | He wasn't all bad, but he definitely added a certain leftist political slant to the class. I don't think he has kids, but he certainly had a lot to say about how one should raise them. Seemed to not focus on the topic of the class. Got really mad when he noticed that no one was reading the books. Pretty funny guy though, and not scary. Probably used to be a Frat prick though. |

| course rating : | 0 - Horrible |
| course comments : | Way to hard for an introductory course in political science. |
| class : | Spring 2005 section 002 |
| grade received : | F |
| class rating : | 0 - Horrible |
| class comments : | Get ready for a lot of reading and a lot of work that is unmanageable. Class never let out early and there was a strict attendence policy |

| instructor comments : | He's ok. Kind of boring and very monotone yet very knowledgeable. I slept through the ONLY midterm and he wouldnt let me make it up. He went to Harvard so he's kind of a hard-ass. |
