TWW upgrade to CrazyWeb v2.20

submitted by CrazyJ on Thursday, April 18 2002 at 1:52 AM

The Wolf Web has just been upgraded to CrazyWeb v2.20 as of about 1:30 AM Thursday! Although most changes are to the backend, there are some visible changes in the calendar and the new ad management system. You'll hear more on the ad system later ;)

With any upgrade of such a large system, there are bound to be plenty of bugs. Please do you part in helping squash them by contacting us with a detailed explanation. Thanks!

appears that way to me... nice job on the new calender...

i have a question about the ads though... do we design our own, and them send 'em in, or would they be designed by an appointed person? it looks intriguing

Haha, that's funny. You might want to take a look at http://www.thewolfweb.com/ad.aspx under the Ad Views Today and Ad Views this Month numbers I think there might be an error...they are the same number!

Is this an actual error or is it just because the update reset those values?

How are the ads displayed? Are they displayed randomly among all avtive or are they displayed consecutively? Can someone choose between the two?

What if I just want to run an ad between 4 and 6 one afternoon?

Just curious. Great idea, I was wondering when this would be implemented.

they are displayed randomly among the active. as of right now that is the only option.

if you only want it ran between 4 and 6, you get on TWW at 4 and activate it, get back on at 6 and deactivate it. simple as that.

i think it'd be cool if the posted by portion of the calendar automatically generated a [user] tag, so if you read about their event and want to send them a TWW email, you can easily.

IMHO, the thread window that shows up under your "reply" section is too small, i have to side-scroll to see the ends of the sentences...
