I support World War III because Palestine has nuclear weapons that are considered highly dangerous and in the wrong hands. These should be destroyed. I support World War III because the destroying of the World Trade Center and the killing of likely 35,000-45,000 innocent civilians is a blatant call for war.I support World War III because nearly every country in the UN will support America and we can destroy Palestine and those celebrating bastards on the West Bank and jail Osama bin Laden for life.the_drew

We can't pick any one person to fight at the moment, no one country is going to own up to this cowardly bullshit. If I had my way, we nuke every fucking country that has hostilities towards us, and then shoot their glowing radioactive asses in the dark. Fuck the world, where's my rifle

"I support World War III because nearly every country in the UN will support America and we can destroy Palestine and those celebrating bastards on the West Bank and jail Osama bin Laden for life."obviously spoken by someone who has no concept of what a world war entails. also, add a tinge of racism.Even in light of their celebration, the palestinians are innocent. I assume you support the idea that attacking innocents is wrong, hence your irrational post. From one of the palestinians celebrating: "America is the head of the snake, America always stands by Israel in its war against us." if "America always stands by Israel in its war against us" is their justification, the celebration is quite understandable. I also bet you would be hard pressed to prove this woman's assertion wrong.Assuming some group involved in the israel-palestine conflict is involved, its not particularly surprising that we finally got attacked. Its unreasonable to think we could have signifigant involvement in someone else's war and not feel some affect. The spectacular, sudden, and devastating nature of this attack is what is surprising. The why behind it is not. The cause has always been there and plain for us to see, we just assumed it wouldnt happen. Frankly, the politics of the world have hardly changed. The only thing i have noticed is Israel trying especially hard to buddy up with America in its war against the arabs, which is most likely the cause of the current situation.foolish, foolish proclamations like "I SUPPORT WORLD WAR III" are more like that of a child who wants to strike back at soemthing but can't.

the relationship we had with russia or china during the coldwar is not analogous to the relationship between palestine and israel.

Everyone's way of life is going to change because of this. Security everywhere is going to tighten up, and there's nothing anyone can do about it. The good of the public is going to outweigh the good of the individual in this case. Is it not better to search everyone before going into a crowded place rather than take the risk of thousands of innocent people dying? Times changed today. This may seem far away since we're in Raleigh, but fear is everywhere. Fear is everywhere right now, not just in the united states. If war breaks out, it's not just our necks in it. It's anyone who wants to stop terrorism. I for one am for a war if it means that we could go back to living without having that constant fear. With a war you know when you're at your end, but terrorism can strike at anytime. I'd rather have my children to stand tall rather than cower in fear of the unknown

I don't give a shit what the relationships are between countries, celebrating the death of tens of thousands of innocent people is NOT understandable in the least. Where is the fucking humanity in this world? I wouldn't wish this upon anyone in the world. Not even those palestinians out there celebrating, although my intense urge to kick them all in the nuts grows by the minute.

benjamin franklin lived in a much different time than we do today. He didn't have biochemical warfare, nuclear weapons, massive explosives, or any of the other things which we have today to worry about. I'm not one for worrying all the time, but for fucks sake, something has to change to insure security for the future

do anything but start a WORLD war. We have enough nukes to kill EVERYTHING on the planet, all plants and bacteria too. Would you like humans to be EXTINCT? Than you better shut the fuck up about starting WW3.
9/12/2001 2:12:10 PM
World War III most likely will not occur. The only option we have is punishment for those countries that harbor the enemy. When I say punishment, I do not mean absolute destruction of a country. That would mean many civilian deads
9/12/2001 5:26:26 PM
i, for one, must say that i am very surprised to see insaneman actually caring if humanity is extinguished

MAD (mutually assured destruciton) basically ensures that nobody will ever again use nuclear weapons in a conflict...
9/12/2001 6:55:53 PM
that was the cold war tacit agreement though, russia is no longer the enemy, and these arab countries don't have the firepower that russia had. It's just a huge fiasco, and any resolution is going to yield thousands of more lives.

The idea of a traditional war is absurd here. When all of you were kids sitting around watching Nickelodeon as children, there was a war going on in Afghanistan. It was between the Russians and the Afghans. Speaking with emotions, I thought the Russians were perfect for that war. They did not have any particular targets. It was a simple war of pacification to put it mildly. I believe about one million afghans died in the war but I'm really not sure on that. Most were innocent civilians as Russians generally shelled and liquidated suspect towns they came to. Take that number with a grain of salt though, not really sure on that. As amazing as Russia’s ruthlessness is, its total war mentality had no place there. They essentially turned the country into a gigantic gravel pit packed full of splinter groups, all armed to teeth. It would be like the Wild West on speed and with a quirky religion driving things. If their goal was to turn the area into a living hell, they accomplished that. If it were to pacify and domesticate the people, it failed miserably. I'm not going to harp about this, but the Afghans have been incredibly victimized, not only by Russia but the splinter groups, and the Taliban as well. If we were to send a large ground force, which isn't going to happen, our troops would get mauled. For the guerillas, picking off American M1A1's would be like a shooting ducks. However, I have faith that our military, unlike the general public, is not that dumb. People want blood. That’'s ridiculous. There is no justice here. The only thing that can be done is an attempt to prevent it. I would say wait, gather as much information as possible, then simply pull a Krystal Nacht on them, not literally. Just a massive cordinated terror attack that sends a clear message to the rest of the world. yeah, that means poisoning oil ceo's that funded it, burn mosques that held supplies, targeting family members as I've stated in other threads, attacks on currency values, etc. Do not sweep and burn, but pick clear targets that send a message. Terrorists understand this. A blown up jet instills fear in us. Use similar tactics that keep them dazed and scattered. An enemy that is never seen is the worst kind. Stationed US soldiers would build resentment in these countries. Agents that do their gruesome and mysterious work by night, instill fear. Leave the official terrorist targets for Seals, and leave the high shock value targets for the NSA, and CIA. Yeah, it would piss the world off greatly, but peace is ensured by the content of the people and by enemies that fear you. [Edited on September 14, 2001 at 1:48 AM. Reason : s]
