the first post there was more to show my displeasure for people who take no consideration for people's religious beliefs when posting stuff like this... he says "let's all pray" but then i am automatically left out since i worship no god... who do i pray to then????

like i said before we all may have different beliefs but whether you believe in god or not god we as humans and americans are bonded together so for that reason alone your thoughts should be with all those effected by this sad event.

didn't want a hooray or anything of the sort... just want consideration from people when they post this stuff... i mourn for these people but being told that i should pray and be "glad to have God" pisses me off... i take into consideration the beliefs of others... i jsut expect the same in return....

Mawle427_ i am sorry if you took offense to the way the post was worded but that is why I said "I don't know everyone 's beliefs" inorder to let people know I understand everyone has different views. however me personally I do pray and that is how I express my thoughts so I hope you can respect my beliefs and this post. Hate to bring this back to the top after it appears to have settled back down, but it really disturbs me that some people felt the need to apologize to mawle and others for throwing up a prayer thread after something so tragic happened.

If you don't believe in a God or prayer or whatever, then just ignore the topics.

There is no need to take you into consideration when posting something like this. It is not disrespectful to ask for prayers at a time like this. If you don't believe in prayer, FINE, but no one is showing ill will, disrespect, or whatever else you might conjure up by posting this.

Why should anyone give you consideration when posting something? Is everything posted on here inconsiderate when it just happens to coincide with your beliefs? Should we post a disclaimer everytime we post something that might not mesh with you?

I imagine a lot of people of religious conviction don't like the majority of the things that get posted on these boards, but I have seen no one post a "you don't respect my beliefs" thread for those reasons. Some of you act like someone pissed in your cornflakes whenever someone mentions religion just b/c it doesn't take you into consideration, yet I've never seen any of you defend a religious person when they are being disrespected on these boards. And you all say Christians are hypocritical...???

I don't mean this as an attack directly on mawle. Those posts were just tip of the iceburg for me. Sorry once again for beating a dead horse, as I know there are more important things going on today.
