I concur. I have added my class schedule for this semester as well as last semester's. I have also done the user ratings for my fall semester courses. Very awesome.

That must have taken a lot of time and effort (not like the rest of this site doesn't). Way to go guys.

Hey J, one thing I would add, under the course prefix listings, at the top, add links to each of the letters of the alphabet and link them to anchors at the beginning of each corresponding letter of the course prefixes.

it would be nice if once you have set up your schedules that the next time you click on "school tool" that it take you to your "my schedule" page with links to adding classes and search tools for potential classes and teachers

btw.....posted a link in the statefans.com campus news forum .....thought the alumni might like to know what you guys are doing with this site

It won't let me add old classes if someone else has already added them. If there are 0 users, I can add it. But it won't let me add MA 341, or MAT 200, both classes had other people in them who've added them.

ok i still think school tool is the shit - and is awesome, and is a great idea...but after thinking about it, no offense - but i'll be completely honestly with you. i think "school tool" sounds so lame...the phrase "school tool" - for some reason i imagine like lots of tiny kids jumping up in joy, and screaming in unison "SCHOOL TOOL!!!"

well, i haven't been able to get any summer classes because they haven't been on tracs or on grade distribution. we will start to list them once we can grab data for them. your old classes may not be listed because they don't have a grade distribution with them. this is the only way that i have been able to get data for classes before fall 2001. from fall 2001 on we should have ALL classes.

SUGGESTION FOR SCHOOL TOOL:

When you look through the classes, if there are 2 sections of the same class by the same teacher, they still have different lists of reviews. Same thing for different semesters with the same teacher. All pages with a certain teacher and class should contain all the student reviews of it, with a note that says the reviews below this line are from other semesters/sections.

it might be a lot of trouble, but when you click a course name, a link to the reg_records site with a description of that course would be handy. though it does look like a lot of extra tedious work.

It's awesome---one addition I would use would be a feature that would let you see classes sorted by times offered-----like right now I need an 11:20 and I want to search through all the classes at that time to find an easy one...

That is something I have needed for a long time. I always have one time slot open that I want to fill with a class and it would rock if i could just search for classes in that time slot. If you could do that, you would my my hero.

this things is badass I must say. nice to be able to know who all is in my class w/o having to read three different threads from top to bottom where we've all posted our schedules

should be great at the end of the semester, bc then I can TWW mail the ppl who'd just had my course/professor and request to buy their books and notes directly.

I think it'd be nice to have the text title included on the page for each indiv. course. let students rate how much they used the book too (or should have used), so ppl know whether or not to bother buying the text
