Awesome, post up whenever that dyno day is. I'd love to see how much power this thing makes. Sucks it's a mustang brand dyno, though.

I'd want an AWD dyno just for tuning, if anything. It'd be a shitload easier than all the time I spent helping a friend road tune his VR-4. Dyno #s don't mean all that much... timeslips are where it counts.

Dynojets are the most widely accepted, but that doesn't mean that other dyno's aren't any good. As long as you use the same dyno for all your runs/improvements/logging/etc the numbers will be accurate.

Dyno numbers aren't subjective. Timeslips are. A dyno is alot more consistant than any person's reaction time is going to be, not to mention all the other variables that come into play at a strip.

dynos are really only good for tuning. you can get a number, but its always gonna vary based on ambient air temp, humidity, etc.

edit:
if you notice a gain, you will on any dyno. more power is more power. but for a baseline measurement, its never going to be 100% accurate

speakin' of dynos, did RPM move from capital or did they just open a 2nd location on hwy70 in garner across from agri-supply? i was told the new location has a dynojet as well.

They did move, Yes. And they do have a DynoJet now - they're kickin ass at their new spot, too

FYI, Phantasm has sold their dyno. An AWD Dynojet is on the way.

Going there for ricer bolt ons is one thing, going there for the parts they stock that noone else in town does is another.
