I was part of the OWEN/TUCKER snowball fight...

and I lived in Bragaw and we had one hell of a snowball fight too...


remember when they ran out of food at fountain and they were giving us snacks out of the C-stores until they could get a delivery truck in.


Also, the giant hill at the court of the carolinas was AMAZING for sledding... there was a guy with a kayak... alot of people had trays from the dining hall and the tops to dumpsters...

my then future roommate drove to wilmington and back the night before to pick up some skimboards to take down the court of carolina hill. he was so proud when he finally made it down the hill, off the ramp, and held the landing. he still brags about it to this day.

I lived on Frat Ct at the time, we built a huge snowpenis which actually started out as a snowman. But by the time I rolled up the 2nd huge ball, it was too big to put on top of the first. So then the shaft and waterhose was added, and the snowpenis was complete. I think the DZ's knocked it over later that night though.

We also stole alot of the Mtn Dew cases out in front of the frat mart (gas station at Dan Allen and Western) since it was closed and nobody was in sight.

at this point i was already living off campus. i woke up early that morning to see how much it had snowed and found out school was closed. so i called up my buddy who has a 4WD tahoe, he picked me up along with a couple other friends, we grabbed out snowboards and a wake boarding rope, tied it to the hitch and pulled eachother around raleigh snowboarding behind the tahoe. man that was an awesome day. i never thought i'd be snowboarding in 24" of fresh powder in raleigh. after that we got drunk for 5 days striaght b/c there was nothing else to do.

Hehe, yeah I rolled most of the second ball. I had to get help from KD to put it in position though, it was about 5 ft tall, way too heavy for me

I believe it was the Sigma Kappas actually.

And I recall taking soda from the Frat Mart...i.e. 4 trips back and forth until they were wiped out, hehe

I was in syme at the time and I remember going out to the court of carolina's and seeing that dude in the kayak who made a launch ramp out of a piece of plywood and an orange barrel. it was awesome.

huge snowball fight at AFC, people on the balconies vs. people on the ground. it looked like star wars, except with snowballs instead of lasers. i remember talking to grundy in the parking lot. the cops rolled by, but then left when someone pegged their car. the people on the balconies had a definite advantage, but when you finally pegged one of those column-hiding behind, hallway-escaping f'ers, it was so satisfying.

My buddy Brad and I tried to get to Syme to get a friend to get some beer for us the night that it finally stopped snowing. We went through the tunnels near Reynolds and were up to our chests in snow because of all the drifts. I never thought I'd see that much snow in Raleigh. Then I moved to Colorado.

that was fun. I was over at Gold Dorm when it started, since it was snowing like crazy they let me stay but right when daylight came i had to leave, and walk all the way to Avent Ferry Complex in a blizzard...hoping my next step wasnt a hole.

oh yeah, the hill at Carolina Court....some guys brought a kayak or something like that and hit someone with it on the way down. They got up so i think they were ok.

hahahaha, i remember u 2...i was over there alot to get help with webassign etc. I dont even remember the two chicks names that helped me out, one was a Meteorology major for a bit(and a drunk) and the other was from New York or some area up North, and her stalker/rapest/friend moved to NC when she did for college. I dont think either of them made it through, but they sure helped me out with webassign and all my math courses!

I remember walking from University Towers to the Court of Carolina in tennis shoes. I went sledding with those plastic laminated desk calendars that were given out to freshmen. It was deathly cold coming back from there!

I remember walking to the dining hall from syme the first full day and all they had left was veggie burgers. I can't beleive I actually ate one.

I also remember being out at the court fo carolinas and a group of guys hit our friend's truck with a snow ball. So we start throwing snowballs back at them and talking smack until the point were our two groups were about 10 feet a part about to start throwin down. All of a sudden one of the other guys looks at my friend and asks "Aren't you my Chemistry TA?" My friend actually was his TA so then we just all started laughing our butts off like nothing ever happened. Amazing what alcohal can do to ya.

that was the best court of the carolinas sledding i think i ever saw... people were getting mad creative with stuff to go down in. some guy rolled down the hill in a shopping cart he got from who knows where, some group got a bigass sheet of metal from one of the machine shops that could fit like 6 people onto it, my buddy in the design school friggin' made his own set of skis from some thick cardboard or something and had them duct-taped to his feet, etc. it rocked.

That snow storm was so much fun. I played in the snow so much I got kinda sick at the end of the week, when classes resumed under optional status. I actually made the hike to Harrelson through the snow for my Macroecon class. Maybe 3 other people showed up. On the way back I was freezing because the heat was turned way up in the classroom and that pushed me into fully sick for the next few days. Still, that was a lot of fun.

I was at MC . . . Kevin from Real World NY (1st Season) was a guest speaker the night it started snowing. It started snowing while we were walking back to the dorm from the auditorium. My friends and I stayed up all night. That was one of about 5 times I actually ate breakfast in the cafeteria during my 4 years. . .

someone took one of the huge orange and white roadwork pylons, put it on it's side on the hill, and packed snow in all around it to give everyone a nice little lift halfway down the hill
