Does anyone know where I can find an adapter between a typical 1/8" stereo jack and the 4 wire sound card cable that goes from a CD-ROM into a sound card? I want to use the AUX input on my soundcard, but I need an adapter like this, and have not been able to find anything online - it also helps that I dont know exactly what to call it ![](images/beatup.gif) 8/2/2005 10:17:47 PM

just make your own from a spare 4 wire sound card cable and solder on a female 1/8" stereo jack from radio shack.
alternatively you could just use your mic or line in on the back of the sound card
if you want to have 2 sources on your only line input, then just get a little switch like this one from plantronics for instance: http://www.tritechcoa.com/product/791423.html

one is right one's left and one's ground you could do it just by twisting the wires together. 8/3/2005 1:34:44 AM

don't matter if it is balanced on the AUX out, it's going to be going to an unbalanced 1/8th
