Have any of you guys ever reached out to older generations (40-60yr old cats) for advice etc....? I am in Charlotte and have access to a lot of these guys and some are cool but lots are happy if they never talked to a young wolfpacker. Its very diff IMO than the UNC alums who are like scientologists when it comes to young and older generations connecting....
What are your impressions? 8/3/2005 2:33:31 PM |

it really depends
older generation wolfpackers, i would say vietnam era and before, have been really good to me as far as being friendly and helping me out. 1975 and after grads are usually the worst fans, and pretty arrogant.

I guess I haven't run across enough NCSU alumni though.
The ones I know have formed kind of like a secret clique with me 8/3/2005 8:05:20 PM |

Just cause the old UNC fags wanna stick up some fresh young mid 20's UNC ass.
Old NCSU fans think you wanna steal all their beer and food at the taillgating parties. 8/3/2005 9:10:48 PM |

i try to treat them all like family, but that baby boom crowd seems like a bunch of buttholes.

ain't that the truth. this alum told a friend of mine at the UNC football game last year that he'd meet him outside if he didn't sit down. so he kept standing and told him that he would meet him outside. when halftime, came, my friend asked him if he was still going out there and he said he'd changed his mind, like a little B*#&%

That's very true. I've got a lot of older generation alumni from UNC that I talk to on the regular. It's like it was an instant friendship/mentorship just because we went to the same school.8/16/2005 6:38:56 PM |
