20 feet from the router, case closed, gets a VERY low signal, crazy packet loss.
open the case 1 inch or more, perfect signal, no packet loss.
haven't tried a different pci wireless card.

confusion... isn't the antennae "outside" the case b/c i have 2 of those same cards and my antennaes are outside the case, so i don't really understand why the case being open or closed would have anything to do with it 8/7/2005 9:01:51 PM |

yeah, my wife's computer has that card and it sucks ass w/ my wrt54g. It's like 5 feet from the router and always has issues. It's wired now and, of course, hasn't had any issues. 8/7/2005 10:48:22 PM |
