So here's what I'm trying to do...
I want to take a webpage being displayed (or let the user specificy a language preference) and then have all the copy translated and displayed in the language they pick. It wouldn't have to be that complex as almost all of the screens are uniform (real estate listings), but we can't do different versions of the site because people can imput so much custom content into a listing.
So ideally I want a drop down on the page somewhere so people can pick a language and magically see everything change over after it refreshes.
Even if you don't know of a product/service but have seen something like that in practice so it could be reverse engineered would be a big help. 8/8/2005 4:56:05 PM |

I've seen this automatic language translation done in Mambo CMS, but I have no idea what addon component works the magic. Mambelfish can be used to do several manual translations(IE you type each page in every language.
Google is pretty slick though. I wonder if there's an API.

mambo uses manual language files too.
