Life is good when you can buy the cartoons you watched growing up that they don't play anymore b/c they're deemed "outdated" when in reality they're like a 1000 times better than the shit currently on tv

MASK was fantastic, and had the coolest toys ever. MASK toys and Dino Riders were where it's at.

the animation and character design for thundercats is beautiful

but the character dialogue is worse than Star Wars Episode I

I don't understand why you guys are romanticizing "Thundercats." That show was fucking terrible. I thought it was cool when I was three years old, and yeah, I wanted the toys, but have you fucking watched it since your cognitive faculties matured?

Or have they not matured yet?

Yeah, I remember them being 1000 times better but the recent DVD treatment a lot of the cartoons are getting make me realize that they were just as bad as what is on now. You really have to see the cartoons from the eyes of a child. That said I don't think that there is a cartoon that has been or can be as gay as Yu-gi-oh.

I recently netflixed the Transformers season 1 & 2 because that is what I remember liking most as a kid. I was surprised when I watched them again. They are terrible. The major plot point 95% of every story involves placing some chip in a rival's head that allows them to make the transformer do their bidding. Ok. Nice concept for like one show...problem is that they do it in every show and it gets old quick.

Another cartoon that I loved was G.I. Joe. That one also surprised me when watching it as an adult. I actually like it better. It may be because I had just gotten off the TF DVDs but the GI Joe cartoons are hilarious.

I'll end up seeing the Thunder Cats DVDs. I haven't seen them since they first came out. Let me just say that I thought that most if not all of these shows were old enough to where most people attending college (I have a good 10 years on all of you nowadays) would have never seen them.

I thought I was the only one that remembered MASK. No one I talk to my age remembers. I had all the toys. I'd love to see (and be dissapointed by) that show again. Remember the egg shaped robot that transformed into the scooter. I think it was a mail-away offer.

I have reseen Silverhawks recently (5 years or so ago when we had/could afford cable). That show is terrible indeed.

Bitchin' action figures at any rate. Those super cool suits of armor and the hologram stickers on the figures? And the bad guys were, like, ZOMBIE PIRATES? Sign me up! Too bad the good guys' figures didn't transform into animals like the good guys did in the cartoon.

aha that's what i thought

but cartoon network re-ran thundercats about a decade ago (i think,) so that may be where some people (who would have been 8-10 at the time may have seen it

i know that's how many people became familiar with the dukes of hazzard, from when TNN ran them like 10 years ago

Yeah. Are you guys going to buy the set and then sit around and watch it or do you just want it for the novelty value?

I remember Thundercats from the 80s...though honestly not so much the show, just that there were thundercats and they were cool as shit

I had a Lion-O action figure when I was like 4

but my brother threw it out the window of our car after church one sunday

and since then I've been scarred for life

it was my favoritest toy ever

Am I the only one who liked Mumra (sp?) the best? I don't know if he counts because he wasn't an actual Thundercat. I loved how everyone thought he was a pussy and stuff when he had all the mummy wrappings on, but then he got super pissed and flipped out and all this light started flying out of nowhere and he was screaming and shit, then everything went fuck bazoo.

i think it's like 130 total episodes over 2 seasons

so 65 episodes a season

33/32 episodes per volume

4 dvd sets
