eh. my brakes go *swishswishswishswish* or some similar shit. This is with good pads and rotors turned 4 months ago. Noise is not always a good indicator, car stops just fine.
Of course, a thousand fingernails on a thousand chalkboards is a little more alarming.

i figured out what you have to do to get ceramic pads to stop squealing, just hit the brakes like a mexican with no insurance pulled out in front of you a few times doin about 60, and it will burn off all the shit and stop squealing for a few weeks. semi metallic and organic pads should never squeal if installed properly though. btw, anyone know of some resonably priced drilled and slotted rotors, front and rear, for an 01 silverado 1500 can be found, i cant find any less than $600, and even with ceramic pads, they fade terribly when pulling a heavy trailer and load. 8/15/2005 3:37:34 PM |
