I found some of their older (looking) stuff thats $5000+ a pair. I just wanted to know something about the manufacturer, maybe where I can hear a pair before I buy these online.

They are made in india. You should check out Linn speakers. look at the Ninka loudspeakers. They are incredible and only $2000. You can go listen to them at Audio Advice on glenwood. http://www.linn.co.uk

cadenec makes competition quality products, not very popular among average people because no one's gonna spend $800+ on a single subwoofer if they just want to bump a little bit. a friend of mine won a few competitions in an escort using a setup comprised mostly of the cadence wild beast. the car was flexing so much they had to get guys to hold the door on both sides to get an accurate reading on the bass mic. as far as hearing one, you might try that place down in smithfield on 301, the name escapes me, but they've got a pretty decent selection their.

Ok before you spend $5k on a pair of speakers please tell me that:

you have a >$2k amplifier a $1k DVD player, a >$2k tuner,

if your about to run mp3's through an integrated reciever to them you might as well wipe your ass with the money.

a $5k set of speakers will make you cry... if the rest of the components in the set are as good... otherwise its like putting track tires on a pinto

I don't want to spend a $5000+ on speakers. I found a nice set of floor standing speakers for $50 + $40 shipping. they're floor standing 310w rms with built in 8" subs. I just wanted to know if they were going to be worth the money or just shit.

I haven't had Cadence speakers, but I did have some amps for my subs made by cadence. So did my little brother. The amps are pretty bad ass. We had them for years before a channel blew in mine. My little bro still has his. I can tell you that they are quality. If the speakers are anything like the amps, they will be a hell of a buy.

ok well the auction went up and I thought I was getting the pair for $125 + $40 shipping. Apparently it's $125 each and by bidding on one you automatically bid on 2. I don't really want to invest that much in my stereo at the moment. so if anyone is interested in these so I don't have to try and cancel my bid and pay a fee.. let me know

got them.. they sound phenomenal. they could really benefit from an amp. I better sell them before I buy an amp and a new center channel..
