My laptop just died and I dont have any warranty left on it.. If I take it to best buy I know they will charge me $200 or more just to take a look at it.. are there any cheaper places where i can take it?

By died i mean that it doesnt swtich on.. i got an enclosure and got my stuff off the hard disk.. so i know the hard disk is not the problem..

any ideas??

best buy charges $40 for diagnostic

if it's a dell and the warranty is up like you said, they'll diagnose for $40 over the phone, which i think is sketch
