I'm connected to the internet which first goes through a router on the first floor which splits the connection to all the apt's in the building, and i then have a router in my room which is splitting the connection up to the 3 rooms in my apt. Emule and a couple other programs are having trouble connecting saying that the UDP port that is needed is blocked (check firewall to ensure ports are open)....
I'm not extremely familiar with this kind of stuff, but i know i can access the router in my room and open the port there, but it still wont work. Does this mean that the router downstairs in the building is blocking my connection on these ports? Is that something i can get around? 8/20/2005 12:27:39 AM |

If you are using eMule to download illegal stuff, then this isn't the right place to ask for help how to do so.
But if you need a port unblocked for legitimate purposes, then talk to whoever owns the router for your apartment and see if they can help you out. more than likely they won't know what you're talking about 8/20/2005 5:46:10 PM |
