One of my suitemates has some z5300s and when he brought them up for this semester, they didn't work. We figured it was the amp that had gone out, so he contacted Logitech, and they sent him an entire new set. We hooked up the new sub/amp and used the same control pod, but we had the same results.
We tried the new control pod and it worked fine. We opened up the old one, and saw some burn marks. I was just wondering if any of you knew where we could find a replacement control pod, since we have basically an entire set. 8/25/2005 2:31:52 PM |

Yeah...I thought he would have to send something back, but the women didn't tell him to.
I just hope there is a way to get it, so we have another working set. 8/25/2005 5:57:34 PM |

i had a similar problem, only they asked me to send them the control pod and remote back, then they sent me a whole new system. i looked for weeks on the internet for a new control pod to use my old speakers, but never had any luck. 8/27/2005 4:29:12 PM |

^^ um, did he have to give them a credit card number before they'd send the replacements? they usually get that kind of info then charge you for new speakers if you don't send the old ones back... instructions should have been included weather she said to return them or not. usually by opening the packaging the replacements are sent in, you give implied consent to be charged if you fail to send back the old ones. might want to check on that.

No, he didn't have to give them his credit card info or anything of that sort. I asked him that, because I too thought it strange that they would just send him a new setup like that.
All he gave the woman on the phone was the serial number. 8/28/2005 1:34:53 AM |

If the speakers have normal impedance ratings, just buy a surround sound receiver and hook them up to it. 8/28/2005 2:22:09 AM |
