its awesome like i said

but sometimes when i listen to them

its like TOO many metaphors for me to handle in x number of bars

which is part of their greatness, but sometimes i need to pace myself

I liked The Listening, except for the annoying sing-songy WJLR jingle, but was never really crazy about it. I think I just don't care too much for 9th's beat style; maybe I just don't like a lot of soul samples and things like that. I can appreciate the quality of LB, but just don't choose to listen to it much. Is Minstrel Show more of the same kinda thing, or is it a new direction in any way that would still catch my interest?

I had high hopes for this CD... It's Good... But good isn't as good as great... I think they worried too much on making a very cohesive album (which it is, my GOD, it is)... but maybe it's the cohesiveness that takes away from each individual track... just my opinion...
