I'm looking for a Diablo II replacement, and this seems to fit the bill. Looks graphically impressive. Anyone played it yet?

do you know what kind of restrictions are on the demo?

like you can only level up to a certain amount or something?

I don't want to wait for 1.5 gigs to download if it's not even enough to whet my whistle

It's a fun game. I DL'd the demo last week and have been playing it for a good while now. I've heard that the demo is the first 10% of the game. I wasn't a big fan of the new interfae though. I liked the interface from the original Dungeon Siege, very simple and clean looking. The HUD in DS2 is elaborate and sometimes messy. Fun game anyway, perfect if your done w/ Diablo 2.

Plus keep an eye out for a game called Titan Quest. Its similar to Diablo/Dungeon Siege. Looks awesome!

Don't play it then. You'll want to go out and buy it once the demo ends. I never buy PC games brand new. I always wait.

Ultima Online Defiance is a great game if you can play an old school mmorpg. Its a free shard that corrects all the mistakes of the official version of the game. Yes its a dated game, but you wont find a better online rpg due to the sheer depth of this game. It has all the info to get you set up in the download center. Average 400+ people on during peak hours but still need more players.

is anyone having trouble downloading this?

it keeps telling me the server is timing out, and download studio is having problems resuming the download

I bought it, here's my take:

-Internet play has been having some problems. Mainly with router/firewall issues. Half the time you can't connect to a host to play the game.

-The graphics look awful for a "next generation" game. Think of them as half life crossed with guild wars, except guild wars was gorgeous.

Biggest beef:
-You only get 4 spells (wtf?) to use at one time, and have to swap out with the spells in your inventory when you want to use them. And there's no hotkey availability for these spells either. What you have to do, which is the oddest thing ever, is select the spell with left mouse button, and then fire with right button, and if you want to hit something you have to select melee, and so on... it's agonizing.

Otherwise the game is a fun diablo clone and dungeon crawl. If you're into that, buy it. I'm "Gronke" on the servers.

Oh, and an assload of Germans play this game for some reason.
