What's the best way to record AM/FM streams from a stereo to listen to later? I have an AM/FM stereo connected to my PC's sound card that I can listen to through Shoutcast. What I would like to do is to capture the stream to my PC to either transfer it to my Ipod or posibbly to burn on CDs/DVDs.
I have seen the device below but it has recieved very poor ratings. Anyone know of the best way to do this? Also I would like to set it up for timed recordings. And I don't want to hear any "legality" arguments as I don't play to make money off this I just want it for my personal use.

i've used goldwave for recording records. it may be a little overkill and too complicated for your use though. i'm not sure it has scheduled recordings, but i think it does. 9/20/2005 10:18:53 AM |

Thanks, I'll look into both of those.
As of right now my stereo is connected to my XP machine and my linux box runs my mp3 shoutcast streams. Guess I should have specified which OS I was running the stereo stream through.

Iight, after some more research I think this is what I need. I'll give it a shot and post back if anyone is interested in how it performs. 9/22/2005 8:27:56 AM |
