any instructions the website describes the problem but not helpful at all! Something with software on the ipod, I think help! Post here are PM me!

Its probably done. If it's less than a year old take it to the apple store and get a new one.

Mine kept breaking so finally they gave me a color one.

still not working and I was 3 months outside warranty! SHHH

They said if its the hard drive it cost $250, so why not buy a new one, if its software its free

Try plugging it into a different port. Try another comp. Try downgrading the firmware.

Had this problem when the new firmware came out and iTunes 5.0.

Have found a couple programs now to transfer music and such without using iTunes ( ::shudder:: ).
