it's the best one i've ever seen. the ipod will be recognized on the computer as far as showing up, but when you try to do ANYTHING with it, it freezes itunes, the computer everything. the harddrive within the ipod makes a noise like it's spinning really fast and it repeats itself. my question is this: is there anything i can do besides reload it (i've already done that twice and now i can't even do that because it freezes the computer when you plug it in) to erase everything off of it and COMPLETELY start over. ANY help is appreciated.

Make sure you're not using iTunes 5.0, it's known to cause issues.

If you are, download the 5.0.1 (I believe that's what it is at now) update. Hope it solves it
