For some reason I can't get to google. I type it in to the address box and it just never loads. The only page I can't get to on the internet. ANy ideas?

If you are using RoadRunner (and a RoadRunner DNS server) they occasionally have problems and do not point to the correct IP for Google.

don't use the roadrunner DNS servers

use the ncsu ones

^ Not knowing where your hosts file is isn't funny (it's a very valid question) ... but thinking that Google banned you is mildly humorous.

Windows XP = C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\DRIVERS\ETC (also \WINNT depending on your setup)
Windows 2K = C:\WINNT\SYSTEM32\DRIVERS\ETC
Win 98\ME = C:\WINDOWS

You just want to make sure that there is no definition for google.com, etc.

It is most likely a DNS problem. Having something wrong with the HOSTS file is somewhat rare, especially if you do not edit it or have any software that adds custom entries.
