i bought a 160gig HD for a computer i built, but on my computer it shows only a total of 127gigs. what's the deal

i didnt even worry about it. i got a 160 and i had like 148 or something so i was like oh well. i knew it wasnt a ripoff tho and i didnt bother looking into it

^^ doesnt tht link only apply to windows2000?

148 is a consequence of 1024=1000 translation. 127 is a consequence of large hd support within windows
