My Mom's Birthday is coming up and she is looking to get a memory stick. She's a teacher, and it would be really helpful to have one of those ones that just plugs into a USB port to use interchangeably from home and school.
I just wanted to get peoples opinions on brands/types or any other helpful information. Is there a particular brand to look into or avoid? 10/31/2005 9:51:38 AM |

I just got a 256mb Crucial flash drive for about $21 shipped from Newegg to use for teaching.
Corsair, Crucial, Kingmax, OCZ, and PNY all make good system memory, so I assume they make good flash drives as well.
As far as size goes, my epic picture-filled powerpoints only take up about 8-10 megs per lesson, so even a 256mb drive is overkill for what I use it for. 10/31/2005 10:07:36 AM |

If you got a while to wait, keep an eye on slickdeals. They have flash drive deals pretty frequently. 10/31/2005 10:35:49 AM |

the pny drives are pretty inexpensive usually, and most of them come with usb extension cables too. 10/31/2005 11:50:11 AM |
