It's clearly not a threat because no reasonable person would beleive the a college student upset about all this seriousness would burn anyone at the stake over it. In addition, "burning at the stake" is a common metaphore for something that I"m pretty sure has never occurred in this nation. It is hyperbole and protected by free speech.
