we won by about 25. as long as we just play canadian teams we don't need Bethel. but yeah, we could really use him 11/4/2005 9:45:39 PM |

based on tonight
it was VERY sloppy
no court general
no leader
no PG
he is essentially the only player on the team capable of ACC caliber PG play. 11/4/2005 10:22:39 PM |

Yeah Atsur had his foot or ankle wrapped in some ice, he didn't even play at all in the 2nd half.
That's not good at all. 11/4/2005 10:26:36 PM |

they were subbing in every 3 minutes, most of the players played so they didn't get much of a rhythm together. the team played well and courtney fells impressed me. i'm looking forward to this season. 11/4/2005 10:26:42 PM |

Fells was my favorite freshman out there
We'll be good if we can get in sync...we've got all the pieces, just gotta make it work together 11/4/2005 10:29:24 PM |

Herb said in the post game bit, that Atsur just *tweaked* his ankle, and that he will be fine. 11/4/2005 10:35:48 PM |

^^ yeah Herb talked about that in the post game comments. He said our timing is off. Plus having all different combinations of players didn't help. He said he wasn't surprised tho at this point in the season. 11/4/2005 11:05:26 PM |

yeah, it took a while to get any sort of offense going. but then they started making some things happen. I thought they played pretty good D, but need to cover the open 3 better. And as always, work on offensive rebounds. 11/5/2005 12:43:42 AM |

Wow I just read that Tony Bethel is our returning leading rebounder. WTF? He is 6-0, and averaged 3.8 a game. 11/5/2005 12:45:45 AM |

^that mother is agressive as hell. We had a guy on our high school team that got 5 a game at least and was 5-10. He just cuts through people, and is always in the right place. 11/5/2005 12:47:10 AM |

dont try to make it into that kind of bullshit
i love herb
but i know the team wont survive the ACC full court press w/out a healthy Bethel 11/5/2005 1:07:56 PM |

Bethal's got to get healthy to make any kind of real run, but at this point in the season I'm not too worried. Fells is going to be really nice. Grant is trying to run the show but needs to finish better. Brack and Simmons (and Grant) have all gained a bunch of weight. Ev has lost a few pounds but is ripped and seems a hell of alot faster.
Usually I'm in a panic at this point, but NCSU looks good right now. Need to smooth out the edges but the pieces are in place. Assuming everyone gets heathly (I know, I know) we should be top 3 in the ACC. I love this freshman class that Herb's brought in. 11/5/2005 1:23:12 PM |

That's great news. I just hope he doesn't get really jacked up in the preseason games and misses out on the rest of the year. 11/5/2005 1:44:11 PM |

What worries me is that he hasn't played ball in so long
How does he keep the weight off and his solid shot? 11/5/2005 3:30:04 PM |

I'm in a pathology lecture about ulcerative colitis right now.
And people wondered why Tony had problems last year... 11/30/2005 8:16:55 AM |

^yeah pretty bad stuff huh?
I wonder if they will try to get an extra year for him. He was injured so much last year. Had intestinal problems for a while, then groin problems. Didn't he hurt his ankle for a while too? 11/30/2005 10:12:45 AM |
