i have a router set up and i'm running voice over ip for my telephone service. i was unable to receive any incoming calls for some reason. the calls went straight to voicemail.

i did a "clear arp-cache" command in the router and it all cleared.

why?

That's far too little information to come up with anything that's near definitive.

Most likely, there was an ARP entry pointing to a certain IP address for some MAC and someone changed that IP address. ARP entries take 4 hours to age out, so clearing it forced the router to re-arp for said device (callmanager or unity server).

that makes alot of sense.

now if I could only upgrade to CUE 2.1.3 there's a bug that won't allow sip registry. have to perform the upgrade today and I have no idea what I'm doing.
