I intentionally said "speedometer that reads 160mph" instead of "top speed of..." but thanks anyway glorified honda driver. GM governs their SUV's/trucks at 97mph anyway. I don't know if that will apply to 07 Escalade but it should b/c SUV's don't need to be going any faster than that anyway.

No car "needs" to go that fast. Very few people actually NEED a high speed internet connection. I don't NEED 5 hours of battery life on my laptop, nor do I NEED to have 1200 minutes/month on my cellphone. Alas, things that we buy are seldom just the things that we need. With the Escelade, GM is catering to what people want, or will buy, not what they need. That would be the Aveo. Then again, that comes with a bit more than what one could do with....

He made no mention of top speed and you guys are fucking retarded if you think the speedometer isn't an indication of what kind of top speeds we are talking about, nor is it a far cry to think 400hp can't push even a heavy SUV into the 140s or so.

And he got a reaction out of you about calling your peice a glorified honda (which it is, btw), so I'd say he definitely won on that point.

The speedo doesn't have much relation at all. All Mercedes Benz models made since God knows when (at least before 1985) have had 160mph speedos, even the models with 120hp. Oh wow, thats crazy! A car with 120hp can approach 160mph, holy crap!?!!??

And if you call a sarcastic remark much of a reaction, oh no. I could defend his statement and yours with a retort, but anything I'd say has already been thought by the intelligent people that browse this forum so I digress...
