It is possible (Some of the people I worked with this summer would trade straight from one iPod to another). I do remember that it involved a hidden folder in windows somewhere (probably under the iTunes folder). Sorry I can't be more specific, but I don't have an iPod to be able to jot down all the details. 12/1/2005 10:16:52 AM |

Well, they were transferring music that they created (I was working as an A/V Tech, and the coworkers were musicians). They would record (their own) songs, and then trade them for ideas. You can't automatically assume that all music is copyrighted to death, there are still some free things out there, and anything you make yourself you are free to do what you want with. There are other legit uses for copying between iPods too. Maybe dannydigtl just got a new iPod and wants to transfer all his old stuff. Not saying its likely, just that you shouldn't jump to conclusions. 12/1/2005 1:17:29 PM |

there's a program called ephpod, it's free.
it'll let you grab songs off an ipod and put them up on another (without trying to autosync and thus wipe out your song collection ala iTunes)
You need a computer to act as mediator though.
I keep a copy of this program on my iPod. 12/1/2005 3:00:00 PM |

Also look at SharePod, runs off the iPod itself. 12/1/2005 3:51:00 PM |
